Dr. Zoran Pavlović (zoran.pavlovic@biosense.rs)

Zoran Pavlović was born in 1986. in Aleksinac, Serbia. He obtained a Diploma and an M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Master thesis about electrochemical catalysts and fuel cell system development was done at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Magdeburg, Germany. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2017. in Heterogeneous Electrochemical catalysis (Dr. Rer. Nat – Doctor of Natural Sciences), from the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, as well as from Fritz Haber Institute. Berlin, Germany. Since March 2018. He has been working in Pharmaceutical company Phytonet AG, Zurich, Switzerland, where he is involved in starting up a production site of Pharmaceutical food supplement products in Novi Sad, Serbia. He works there as a Production Manager and Manager of Technical systems while doing Process development, Business development, optimization of process parameters, various process production devices, and units. At the same time, Since March 2018. he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Business Academy in Novi Sad, where he gives lectures on Industrial Pharmacy, Organic, Bioorganic, Stereo, and Steroid Chemistry, and also supervising B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. students. Since January 2021, Zoran has been working at the BioSense Institute as a Senior Researcher, joining on many ongoing European projects. His main research interest is the electrochemical catalysis in renewable energy storage, development of bio-electrochemical sensors and materials for applications in agriculture, health, and environmental protection.
